ORGANIZED

Well it's March. Have I been working at organiztion since my 12/20/11 blog? I most certainly have. I have a succinctly put together daily rating sheets on spirtiual/ meditation activities and health/nutrition tasks. I feel like Ben Franklin, who started a daily record of his vices in order to turn them to virtues; he had a wish to be perfect. It seems, as stated in his autobiography, that he was able to irradicate all of his vices in short order, except for two. In trying to accomplish Neatness, he found that formerly he was able to locate all of his documents, etc. by remembering which chair or niche he had last set them in. Once he became organized, he could never find anything. The other vice he felt compelled to abandon was Vanity. He declared that he knew, had he ever accomplished this feat, it would appear in bold print as the headline of his daily paper, FRANKLIN CURES VANITY. I am truly managing the organization thing, and I feel better for it. I am making daily gains, and along with the schedule I have realized an added bonus, less stress. There's something comforting about knowing that you are not aimlessly strutting about looking for things to do in order not to waste time. "Lose this day to loitering--'twill be the same story tomorrow--and the next, more dilatory."--From Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
