I've never been to good at committment. Maybe it's because of all of those double consonants. Well, I realize "Nothing comes from nothing." So, I'm going to make every effort to remain committed to my blogging projects, at my writing, and at my attempts to get published.
Since childhood, I have had a quirky interest in word 'usage'. Not especially the etiology of the word, but how and why did it take on a particular meaning.
This morning while doing yoga (I guess I'm not committed to meditation either.) I wondered why we use the word "right" to connote correct. Shouldn't there be a word all of it's on, instead of using a directional adjective? And how about "left". She left the scene of the crime. Did she turn left as she proceeded to go? And what about, Is there any left? What in the world does that connote?
I'll just ad this to my litany of word usage and know that I'll never get a right answer, because there are none left.
